According to a crash report released by the Dublin Police Department, Adair was driving a Toyota Sequoia westbound on Woerner Temple Road near Parkwood Place at approximately 11:30 p.m. on June 3 when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle continued straight through a right-hand curve. The SUV crossed into the eastbound lanes, left the roadway, and struck both a tree and a utility pole.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after a 911 call reported a severely damaged SUV. Firefighters from the Washington Township Fire Department worked to extricate Adair from the wreckage before he was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital for emergency care. Despite intensive medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries three days later on June 6.
Authorities have stated that the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
